Chapter 5

OK, your final party consists of Darwin and Teefa. Equip them with the best stuff, remembering to sell the Golden Sword and Rococo Armor to pay for it. Head out into Bintel Castle; the first part of it is safe from Monsters. Explore around a bit; there's a lot of good equipment. Since this is the last set of dungeons you'll be traversing through, don't rush it. Go ahead and level up a lot. When you're ready to travel through the castle, head in a northwesterly direction. A knight named Karul appears, explains who he is, and fights you. He's pretty strong; being of the Water element use Sylph or Dao. He's fast, though, and he'll get a lot of turns in. Be careful. Defeat him and you'll get the Spirit Sword; equip this on Rooks immediately. Continue heading in the same direction; beware, a lot of the encounters from here on out will have dragons.

You'll enter "A Tunnel"; this is mostly straightforward, keep going northwest generally. You'll meet Galneon; if you've been playing the game you'll very bloody full well know who he is. Defeat him, and you'll get the Enchanted Jewel (finally!). However, he transforms into his even uglier undead form; 30% more Hp, watch out. Defeat him again and gain the Crystal Sword (again, equip on Rooks). Finally took out the trash, now let's keep going.

You'll enter an area referred to as "Stavery" but you're not in the same building. You'll be going through different corridors and fighting different monsters. Also, all the floors show up on the same map. Make your way up the floors. At the 10th floor you'll be stopped by a pair of Guardians (not again) but you'll be saved by... someone. (I won't tell you who; spoiler). On the next floor, Tiamat appears! But Teefa and Darwin break off to take care of him.

The 12th floor is the moment of truth. Enter the door, prepared to fight... alone. Playing the rest of this game, I wasn't surprised. It doesn't matter what spirit you choose; your preference will rule here because the final boss is non-elemental. Anyway, you'll fight Rimsala's first form without much trouble; you attack, it attacks. After 1500 HP or so, Rooks will try to destroy it; but instead, Rimsala awakens completely! Just when things are at their grimmest, another scene takes place, and the three legendary items are fused into the "Giant Sword". May not be the best name, but works for me. Cut down Rimsala, and if you absoutely have to, the Giant Sword can be annhialated to cast HP Restore All. Of course, so does Marid... Anyway, I can't really recommend a level to defeat Rimsala at; Lv. 60 is the Max, as you know, and of course that would be great. But practically, it can be done on 50, I believe. One last word of caution: in this form Rimsala ccasionally casts "Attribute 12"; I assume it's just a stronger version of Attribute 11.

Once you're done, sit back, enjoy the cool ending, and pat yourself on the back for beating one of the coolest SNES RPGs. <
