Load up your ROM. If you get this title screen, you're on the right track, it means your ROM probably has all the correct patches to be able to finish the game. If not, try again. |
It's like a nostalgia trip, almost. It's the same Register/Kill Mode screen as the original Zelda. This was also added by ROM hackers. You'll have to register your name to play. |

Unfortunately, you can't actually register your name yet. Just select a blank space and watch Link appear. Depending on what patches your ROM has applied to it, you might play as the Satellaview character instead of Link. Also, some let you choose to be the girl Satellaview character by pressing the R button. |
After that's all done, Go to end, and select the file your just created. Link will magically go to the Wood Sword cave by himself and collect the Wood Sword. |

When you regain control of Link, feel free to practice your swordsmanship by killing hordes of Octoroks. Don't wander off too far though because there's not many places you can go or things you can do with no equipment and no Rupees. |
I hope you know how to read map coordinates, since I'll be using them a lot in this walkthrough. Look at the mini-map in the upper-left corner, and imagine the columns are labled with letters A-H and the rows labled with numbers 1-8. Dungeon 1 is located at E-5, so count over 5 columns (to column E) and down 5 rows (to row 5) to see where you have to go (it should be labled on your mini-map as a red dot). Pull up your britches and enter, if you dare. |
