Parasites

Shyna's artillery in the world of Silhouette Mirage is the seven Parasites, which give her a variety of attacks to use.  She can carry up to three at a time.  You can have more than one of the same type of Parasite at once.

Parasites are purchased in shops.  Generally, the stage you're on determines the level of the Parasite you can buy.  For instance, if you're in Stage 3, all the shops will sell Level 3 Parasites.  The exception to this rule is Level 5 Parasites, which appear from the fifth stage on, and Level 6 Parasites, which can be found in hidden shops (see the Secrets secion for locations) and in Stage 7. Parasites can be sold back to the shop for half of their original cost.

300
Fires a single shot.  At level 5-6 it will fire a flurry of shots when your Spirit is over 200 and the button is held down.  Very energy-efficient, and ideal for draining Spirit.  Arguably the best Parasite.

Priday

750
850
950
Launches a boomerang that will fly about two-thirds of a screen's distance, then return. Pretty powerful, but costs a fair amount of Spirit to fire.  Up to four shots can be on-screen at once.

Angara

550
650
Shoots a small bullet that will arc downward, exploding on impact.  Mines can also be placed by pressing Down + Square, which will detonate after a short while.  Powerful, but lacking in range.  Only one can be on-screen at a time.

Grattoni

450
600
750
900
1000
Launches a large beam of energy that continuously fires as long as the button is held down.  Powerful, but it costs a lot of Spirit to fire.  Its high cost also prevents it from being useful to drain Spirit from enemies.

Rasti

600

1000
Creates a gas cloud upon impact that will damage any enemies within it.  Up to four clouds can be on-screen at once.  It is useful for damaging stationary enemies, but less effective against mobile ones.

Envia

600
Creates two large "wings" in front of Shyna that will damage enemies and often stun them.  They also have the added bonus of being almost impossible to reflect.  Low energy cost and moderately powerful, but you'll have to be at close range to use Envia effectively.

Cavitas

200
300
400
600
1200
Displays a small targeting cross hair in front of Shyna when Square is held, which can be manipulated by pressing Up and Down on the control pad.  You can use this to "lock on" to multiple enemies, then release Square to fire small beams at all of them at once.  The beams often stun enemies.  Decent power, somewhat difficult to use, and it's the most expensive Parasite at level 6.

Parasite Bomb effects

All of these attacks will be launched from a sphere that appears above Shyna's head.  So you'll have to be careful to time your attack right and not get it stuck in a ceiling (which will cause it to become rather harmless).

Surosa
Fires flurries of shots at random enemies.
Priday
Fires boomerangs in a circular pattern.
Angara
Creates a series of explosions in close range around Shyna.
Grattoni
The beam locks onto a random enemy and and fires at them.
Rasti
Creates a ring of gas clouds above Shyna.
Envia
Creates two large wings that circle around Shyna.
Cavitas
Cavitas will lock on and fire at enemies at random.
