Puzzles

When you look at certain items, the game goes to a close up, and you are given four choices: LOOK, ITEM, LEAVE, and PRAY. These are the puzzles in the game, and this section will tell you how to tackle each puzzle.

The Knight Part 1

In the far east part of the East Wing, go into the small room on the north, and look at the statue. At first it will look like this. Pray using at least 7 Pray Points (you'll need to be at least at level 3). You'll take the spear.

The Knight Part 2

Go into the room just east of the first knight room. Look at the knight. At first it will look like this. Use the Spear you got from the first knight. Then pray using at least 12 Pray Points (you'll need to be at least at level 4). Lightning will strike, the Knight will be destroyed, and a path to the Garden will be opened.

The Fountain

In the Northwest corner of the Courtyard is a fountain. Look at it and you'll see this. Use the LOOK command until you're asked if you want to drink the water. Say yes and the water will turn to blood. Go to the room south of the fountain and grab the pail. Use the pail on the fountain, and it'll be filled with blood. You can then use the pail on the green statue in the room you got the pail from.

The Memorial

In the middle of the lake there is a memorial. Grab the shovel from the southern edge of the Lake, then Look at the memorial. It should look like this Use the Shovel, then pray using at least 28 Pray Points (you'll need to be at least at level 7). The memorial will now look like this. LOOK twice more to find the Low Key.

Ichirou's Servant

At the eastern edge of the Inner Sanctuary, you'll encounter Ichirou's servant who looks like this. To get past him, equip your lead character with the Jade and Ruby Rings (put them in his/her inventory), and use both of them. Then pray using at least 43 Pray Points (you'll need to be at least at level 11). You should now be able to pass.

The Projector

You'll find the Projector on the 1st Floor. It should look like this. Find all three slides and use them on the projector. It'll now look like this. Then pray using at least 71 Pray Points (you'll need to be at least at level 14). A passage will then appear.

The Three Statues

In the Northeast corner of the Inner Sanctuary, there are three statues. Examine them and they'll look like this. Find all three Blue Candles and use them on the statues. Then use Kazuo's Lighter, or Matches to light the candles. Pray using 82 Pray Points (you'll need to be at least at level 16), and a passage to the End Area will open up.
