Animals Jiro: This is your Dog. He doesn't do anything useful. He barks and he pees. That's about it. You do have to treat him nicely to win the Dog Race though. Your Horse: You get your Horse if you visit the Green Ranch during the First Spring. After a couple of weeks, he matures and you can ride him. You can toss your crops into his saddle-bags to sell them. Your Horse can race in every Horse Race except for the one in the First Spring. How to Make it Happy- Brush it when it is older, Talk to it when it is younger, Ride it when it is older. Chickens: You can buy Chickens from the Green Ranch. They are very useful for beginning farmers. You only have to buy one, then can put an Egg in the Incubator (the machine in the upper right corner) to get another Chicken. The Egg hatches after about three days, and you get a Chick which doesn't have to be fed. After about another three days, the Chick turns into a Chicken. Chickens lay an egg every day if you feed them. Feed costs 10 G per bag. Buying Price- 1500 G Produces- 1 Egg per Day Selling Price of What is Produced- 50 G Selling Price of Anmal- 500 G How to Make it Happy- Feed it, Take it outside on good days. Sheep: You can buy sheep from the Green Ranch. They produce two types of Wool depending on whether or not you have treated them well. You can shear Sheep only once every 7 days, and you need to buy a Shearer from Rick. You need to feed Sheep, so either plant Grass then cut it when it gets tall (recommended) or buy Fodder from the Ranch Owner at 30 G per bag (recommended only in Winter if you're running low). To get the Fodder, just go up to the Spout at the back of the Barn and press A. You can then drop the Fodder in the Stall of the Animal you want to feed. Sheep can only be sold when they're bearing Wool. Buying Price- 4000 G Produces- Wool and Good Wool if treated well Selling Price of What is Produced- 900 G for Wool; 1800 G for Good Wool Selling Price of Animal- 2000 G for Wool producer; 5000 G for Good Wool producer How to Make it Happy- Brush it, Talk to it, Take it outside on good days. Cows: These dairy producers are the best Animal by far. They can produce four types of Milk: Small, Medium, Large, and Gold. They can give birth to more Cows. You need to feed them every day just like Sheep. They produce Milk every day once they mature, but you can't milk them unless you buy a Milker from Rick. You can buy a Miracle Potion for 3000 G from the Ranch Owner if you want to give birth to another Cow. Just sprinkle the Miracle Potion on the Cow that you want to give birth. The next day, that Cow will be at the Birthing Station at the back of the Barn. It will be pregnant for 21 days and will produce Milk one level lower than it usually produces. You need to feed the Cow at the Birthing Station during that time. I recommend buying a new Cow because you only have to wait 21 days for it to start producing Milk rather than waiting 42 days and having one of your Cows produce a lower level Milk than usual. You can show off one of your Cows at the annual Cow Festival. If it wins, it will start producing Gold Milk. I recommend showing off your Cow that is producing Large Milk so it is guaranteed to win. Buying Price- 6000 G for one cow; 3000 G for Miracle Potion Produces- Small Milk, Medium Milk, Large Milk, and Gold Milk Selling Price of What is Produced- 100 G for Small Milk; 150 G for Medium Milk; 300 G for Large Milk; 500 G for Gold Milk Selling Price of Animal- 3000 G to 8500 G How to Make it Happy- Brush it, Talk to it, Take it outside on good days.
