Mikhail's Introduction
Mikhail's intro begins with a panning of his camp and his purpose for
being in the middle of nowhere right now. He and his army are hunting
monsters while back in Loanne, Baron Godwin is planning a coup to remove
Mikhail from being the Marquis. Soon Monica is shown riding her horse
towards Mikhail's camp to warn him of the coming events. The horse
refuses to continue, and Monica is forced to walk to Shinon. The scene
shifts to the next day when Monica along with Harid, Julian, Ellen, Thomas,
and Sara arrive in Mikhail's camp. Mikhail thanks the group for bringing
Monica to him. He then asks them to escort her to Podol in the north
which is under control by the Vampire Earl Leonid. Mikhail asks them
to be very careful because he doesn't want Monica returning as a vampire.
Before the party leaves, Mikhail asks Harid to come with him to Loanne
and help him fight. Harid agrees and leaves Julian and the others to
join Mikhail. |

After Julian and the rest leave, Mikhail reveals that Baron Godwin's
rebellion was actually in his plan so that he could wipe out him and his
traitorous gang once and for all. Back in Mikhail's tent, a meeting
is held to determine what the proper course of action should be taken. We
learn that one of Loanne's best generals, General Radom, is fighting on Godwin's
side. Shortly after this relevation, a soldier bursts in and tells
everyone that goblins, which Baron Godwin has summoned, have invaded the
territory. Mikhail decides to attack them, and Harid will accompany
him. Now the battle against the Goblin King will begin. |
(Note: for indepth strategies for later battles, go to the minigames
section and click on War Game)
Battle 1:
Mikhail (2000) vs the Goblin King (4000, Goblin Army)
Since Mikhail will have many more battles in the War Game to participate
in, it is recommended to try your best in these battles so that you may get
the feel for them. I will also list the recommended tactics you should
attempt to gain after each battle. In this battle you may obtain the
formation, Backwater, by moving back to the far right side of the battlefield
then charging and killing your opponents. Well now for the tactics-
I perfer the straight formation in this battle due to the Goblin King's scattered
formation. Now charge until you meet the goblins head on then use All
Defense. Wait until the goblin's morale has plummeted (orange or red
preferably) then use All Charge. |
|
|
Once you've killed a fair amount off, Radom's calvary will come in and
kill quite a few of the goblins. He'll realize his errors and help
you in your battles against Godwin. Now continue your charge and watch
the goblins die very quickly. Note: If you want the rare formation
Backwater, follow these steps:
1) Kill all the goblins except for the Goblin King
2) Use Move Back to get to the very edge of the screen
3) Kill the Goblin King |
Congratulations, you just gained Backwater!
I recommend grabbing F Row Exchg if at all possible. If you didn't
get Backwater and choose to just go for a second tactic, try to get Speed
Atk Fwd. Another recommended combination, which seems really rare,
is Gush Wind and Speed Atk Fwd. This combination makes most of the
other battles laughable later. |

|
Battle 2:
Mikhail (4000) vs Godwin (4000, Wave Shield)
Godwin's Wave Shield formation has 3 rows. Often, he'll rotate his
calvary and his infantry to pummel you. If you have F Row Exchg then
this battle will take a good while but won't be too difficult. If you
have F Row Exchg then use Def Wave as your formation. If you lucked
out and got Gush Wind and Speed Atk Fwd then just use Speed Atk Fwd and push
them off the screen. Anyways the F Row Exchg tactic works like this:
use your calvary to face Godwin's infantry. Use your infantry to face
his calvary. When he defends switch to the proper unit type then attack
him. Eventually you should be able to push him off the screen for an
ugly defeat. By doing it this way, you should be able to grab 2 tactics
unless Mikhail was wounded. Godwin generally retreats if he has lost
over 2500 troops or if you take a long time.
I usually try to get Gush Wind out of this battle or a Recover Form type
skill.
Now you'll arrive at Loanne which is littered with monsters. You should
kill the goblins around town to get a bit stronger first. Next go into
the castle and keep going up towards the throne room. Katrina will
run from the jail and join you. Now, if you've played as Harid, Katrina,
Julian, or Monica then you'll recognize this guy on the throne. He'll
say that Godwin has served his purpose and that the throne belongs to the
Holy King. Then he'll attack. |
Evil Demon
The Evil Demon is strong and can do significant damage if you aren't careful.
Begin the battle by having Katrina use Awaking to change the Masquerade
into a Big Sword. After using Awakening, have Katrina use Moulin Rouge
to do a hefty amount of damage to the demon. Harid should use Demi
Rune, and Mikhail should use Snake Shot. Mikhail will be your healer
for this battle because he possesses the Life Cane. Beware of Face
Hit- this attack will hit everybody for around 60-80 damage which is crippling
when its half of your max HP. Use the salves if needed, basically,
don't hold back
After the Evil Demon is killed, you'll be presenting the awards ceremony.
Both Mikhail and Monica thank everyone that helped during the turbulant
times. After the ceremony, Mikhail will have audiences with Harid,
Katrina, and Monica. Now you can either begin the ruling game by
sitting on your throne (see minigames) or leave Loanne. To leave Loanne,
go up to the 2nd floor and Mikhail's room (the area in the middle with 2
doors) through the right door. Mikhail also has quite a nice armory
that is in storage too. Chose Call Shadow, and Shadow, Mikhail's body
double will appear and run things while you're gone. Now you may leave
Loanne and continue your journeys. Now the game begins...
