Katrina's Introduction
Katrina is a noblewoman by birth and owns the powerful Masquerade sword.
Mikhail has trusted her with the sword which she has promised to guard
with her life. It is hinted at that Mikhail and Katrina are romantically
revolved.
Katrina's intro begins similarly to Monica's. Monica is observing the
storm occurring outside and then hears Godwin's plan to overthrow Mikhail
and become the new Marquis. Monica is alarmed by this and asks Katrina
to help her escape so that she may warn her brother. Monica changes
and escapes through a hidden door behind the mirror. Katrina brings
in a maid to replace Monica so that it will not appear that she is missing.
Now you resume control over Katrina. Katrina will be captured
soon so, if you don't want to lose your items, you'll need to hide them
somewhere. Look around for a good place and stash them there. I
perfer placing them in one of the pots in the kitchen. Now from the
first floor, go down the stairs on the far left and into the dungeon. Take
the key and place it in the last cell on the right. By placing the
key in there, Katrina will be able to escape after she is captured, regain
her items, and help Mikhail in a difficult boss battle. If you don't
put the key in there, you'll miss out on that scenario. Once you are
ready, return to Monica's room to trigger the next event by selecting wait
here. |

The minister will enter Monica's room along with some soldiers. He
explains that Godwin is staging a coup and that he will hold Monica and Katrina
prisoner. Katrina begins to fight, but Monica's life is threatened
causing her to cease her resistance. Katrina makes a bargain that she
will surrender if Monica is left unharmed. The minister agrees, and
your weapons are removed by the soldiers. Glad you hid them now aren't
you ;). If you stashed the key in the jail, Katrina will collect it
if you walk towards the door. She'll wait until Mikhail arrives before
attempting her escape, however. If you didn't put the key in the cell...
well... you're going to have to wait until someone finds you. No fun,
eh? Anyways, leave the dungeon and head towards the throne room.
Katrina will meet both Mikhail and Harid there. Now you should
return to the area you stashed your items otherwise good luck fighting the
boss. After retrieving your items, you might want to fight the monsters
in the castle a bit to gain some HP and possibly learn new wazas before your
upcoming battle. |
When you enter the throne room, instead of finding Baron Godwin on the
throne, you'll see a demon instead. The demon is cryptic in what exactly
Godwin has done, and states that the throne belongs to the vassal of the
Holy King. The demon then attacks the party. This battle is rather
challenging. |

Evil Demon
The Evil Demon is strong and can do significant damage if you aren't careful.
Begin the battle by having Katrina use Awaking to change the Masquerade
into a Big Sword. After using Awakening, have Katrina use Moulin Rouge
to do a hefty amount of damage to the demon. Harid should use Demi
Rune, and Mikhail should use Snake Shot. Mikhail will be your healer
for this battle because he possesses the Life Cane. Beware of Face
Hit- this attack will hit everybody for around 60-80 damage which is crippling
when its half of your max HP. Use the salves if needed, basically,
don't hold back. |
After defeating the Evil Demon, you will witness the award ceremony which
is in every intro. Once the ceremony is finished, the scene shifts
to several days later. Katrina stares off into the distance, alone
in Loanne. Mikhail suddenly appears and congratulates Katrina on her
good job in both protecting Monica and helping save the kingdom. He
states that he's worried about Katrina being single, and they both walk off
together. Later, he asks if Katrina still has the Masquerade with her.
Katrina says she does and shows it to him. Mikhail grabs the
Masquerade and jumps away revealing that it was actually a spy! Katrina
is devestated that she has lost the treasured sword that came from the Holy
King's family. The scene once again shifts back to Loanne. Katrina
enters the throne room, and she's sheared her hair! |
|
|
She tells Mikhail that she has lost the Masquerade and should pay
with her life, but she promises to retrieve it. Mikhail recognizes
her determination in that she has removed her hair which was the symbol of
both her pride and nobility. Mikhail agrees to spare her and let her
find the Masquerade, but only on one condition: Katrina may not return to
Loanne until she has recovered the sword. Mikhail warns her about the
dangers ahead, and Katrina thanks him and leaves. Now Katrina's
introduction is over and the game begins... |
