The Iron Unit have set up camp across the poisonous swamp just northwest of Orangeria Port. There's not really anything there but a tunnel into Bio Paradise, though. Proceed with care, south to the aptly-named Purplin Town.

Items Checklist

Purplin Town isn't very large—about the same size as the Mutant Research Center. Also like that place, it has puddles that'll RUST your robots, as well.

Additionally, it has Crystal Cores, making it another great place to grind.

At the deepest part of the facility, you'll find General Dan hiding behind a corner. He gives up without a fight. You'll also notice a door nearby—locked, and by the same remote system as the one in the Mutant Research Center. Nothing you can do about that now, though. Haul Dan's traitorous carcass on out of there. A member of the Cyborg Unit will meet you in Iron City 2 to take him off your hands.

Go pay the Cyborg Unit a visit at CornBase. Captain Wolf will tell you General Dan managed to escape, but that he's basically harmless out there alone. He'll also give you a CornDisk. The shops here are open now, and you can return here with the HydroWing.
