The Rot in Melmond
Once you get out of the Aldi Sea, go northeast. You'll find the town of Melmond. Here, you'll find a few
good pieces of equipment, like the Steel Armor which is as good as it gets fighter-wise. Be careful though,
things are expensive here...If you walk around, you'll see something wrong with the ground . Talk to everyone and
you'll discover the earth is rotting . This is the handywork of the Earth Fiend , Lich .
You'll also meet an odd man: Dr.Unne .
Remember him and because he'll be useful later. Now be sure to buy Iron helmets for your
fighters, another silver bracelet for your mages, iron gauntlets for your fighter . Then ,
get Cur3 , Life , Hrm3 and Fir 3.You probably won't have any money left for a
steel armor .
There's a couple of good spots in the Earth Cave to gain money and levels .
In the Earth Cave, if you go to the left of the entrance , you'll see an [ shaped corridor.
That's the Hall of Giants , every step there , you'll meet Giants and Iguanas groups(See
Monster types in the stats of the monsters in the Normal monsters section ) . Also , at
certain spots in front of treasure chests , you will meet monsters such as Earths, which, like the Wizards
in the Marsh Cave, guard certain chests and will attack you whenever you step at a certain place. They pay well .
As you go down the Earth Cave, you'll meet a vampire at level B3 .
The evil monsters in this game tend to like to brag too much.
He's pretty easy ,cast Fir3 and 1 hit or 2 from your fighters and he'll be gone.
Defeat him and pick up the RUBY.
Proceed, and you'll find the
entrance to level B4 is blocked . Go outside and go to the east of the continent. This is the Titan's Tunnel.
Give the dude his ruby to make him get out of the way. If you go down, you'll find 4 chests. The exit is at the top.
South of the Titan's Tunnel's exit, you'll find Sarda's Cave.
The old man will give you a ROD
Use the ROD to lift the plate. It will reveal a path to the lower levels of the Earth Cave. You might
want to go back to Melmond to heal yourself before you go after Lich.
Behold Lich. Kick his ass. He's not very strong, he only has 400 HP. Cast Fire and harm based spells and have your fighters attack.
