Unicorn's Cave

Now that you have the mushroom, head
to the Sunken City and turn the season
to Winter. Visit the Witch's house on the
hill and give her the mushroom for a
Wooden Bird. Head to Horon and give
the Wooden Bird to the Clock man for
some Engine Grease. Enter the
Eastern Suburbs (east of Horon) and
give the Windmill man the Engine Grease
and he will give you the Phonograph.
Head to North Horon and head east
from Gnarled Root. Keeping the season
at Winter, head south and jump across
the pit into the water. Go south and
enter the portal to Subrosia. You will
be right outside the Great Furnace at
5-K. Just below the portal is the Sign
Man's house. If you break 100 Signs,
he will give you a Sign ring as a reminder
to leave signs alone.
So south and hop across the lava until
you reach a Bomb Flower. Pick it up
with the Bracelet. Now make your way
back to the Temple of Seasons and to
the Tower of Autumn. The Bomb Flower
will blow up the rocks and you can enter
the Tower. Talk to the last spirit, the
Spirit of Autumn and recieve the last
season. In Autumn, leaves cover up
holes and mushrooms grow ripe to pick.
Also while you are in Subrosia, buy a
Member's Card at the Market. With
that, you can buy a larger Seed Bag
at the Horon Market. Make sure to get
it. Leave Subrosia through the portal
you came in. Go north from there and
change the season to Autumn. Take this
time to plant Gasha Seeds. Northwest
of the Stump at Eyeglass Lake is
Unicorn's Cave. Pick the mushrooms
then enter the dungeon.
Head up and then right. Kill the Stalfos
and then hop in the right-most mine cart.
Quickly hit the switch to the right which
will switch the track to go up. In the
next room, grab the Small Key from the
chest and hop back into the mine cart.
Flip the switch again as you pass and
when you stop, hop back in the cart and
let it take you to the right.
Head down the stairs and to the left.
Avoid the flames and hop on the
thwomps to make your way to the
ladder. You can blow up the lower
blocks to another ladder, but don't do
it right now. When you arrive upstairs,
go right and kill the monsters to recieve
the Dungeon Map.
From the dungeon map room, head left
twice then up. Go around and jump off
the edge. Unlock the door to the left
and grab the Magnet Gloves. To reopen
the door, use the S polarity on the gloves
to pull the N ball to the button. Remember
that as far as magnets go, opposites
attract. Exit the door and head down.
Push the blocks out of the way and make
your way right.
Go down the stairs. Now you can blow
up those blocks. Jump across to the left
and up the ladder. In the room with an
armos, push it down 3 times, left twice,
and up once to open the door. Go down
and left, killing the Gibdo on the way.
Grab the 100 rupees and head up. Kill
the monsters (kill the Iron Mask by
removing the helmet with the Magnet
Gloves) then go left.
This room is pretty complicated. Kill the
Armos one at a time and remember the
order in which you killed them in. I
usually go Clockwise from the upper right
one. When they are all killed, 4 chests
appear. Open them all in order to recieve
1 rupee, 10 Bombs, 4 Ember Seeds, and
a Small Key. Exit the room once you
get that and head down. Move the N
block out of the way and head down.
Kill the monsters and go left. The
moving floors make this room difficult.
Hug the walls and try not to fall off.
Go to the middle and grab the Compass.
If you have the energy, save the trouble
and just fall off the edge back to the
entrance. Head down 2 rooms and
stand on a yellow square. Use the N
polarity and pull yourself to the S block.
Go up to get a Small Key.
To go back across the pit, use the S
polarity to push yourself from the S block.
Head left and you are back in the
entrance room. Go up and right. Take
the 1st cart to a room with a spinning
pole. This requires speed of thumb. Pull
yourself to the pole with the N polarity
then quickly away from it with the S
polarity. Go back to the cart and flip
the switch on your way.
Hop back into the cart and when you
stop, make your way left. Kill the soldier
and push the lone block to make an N
ball appear. Push it to the button and
exit the room. Hop back into the cart
and backtrack all the way to the stairs.
Make your way right and up the ladder
at the end. Using the Magnet Gloves,
push yourself away from the S block
and to the cart leading to a Small Key.
Hop back into the cart and when you
stop, go right. Unlock the door and meet
Syger. Equip your Roc's Feather and
spin attack the tail. When Syger rolls
into a ball, jump over it and when he
stops, spin attack the tail again. It doesn't
take too long to kill Syger. Grab the fairy
and head up. Head right and press the
button to open the door. Go up then left.
These monsters are pretty tough. Use
the opposite polarity on the Magnet
Gloves to pull them towards you, then
quickly slash them. This requires patience
to do, as this is pretty tricky. Go left
through the door. Move the N ball to
a spot near the lower block wall and
just in front of the flames. Return to the
room just after the Syger and go left.
Go up then usinging the S polarity, use
the N ball as a shield for the fire. Go up.
Go down the stairs. Use the Magnet
Gloves to pull yourself up the higher
parts. Jump on the platform and down
the ladder. Go right to recieve a Boss
Key. Exit the area and go back to the
room after Syger. Unlock the block and
go down the stairs. Make your way left
and up the ladder. Use the Magnet
Gloves to pull you to the boss room.
Digdogger is by far the hardest boss
in this game. Using the Magnet Gloves,
pull the spiked ball from the upper right
corner. The easiest way to kill it is to
line it up between you and the ball then
using the N polarity, pull it to you,
which it should hit Digdogger. When it
splits, use the Pegasus Seed to speed
up. Drag the ball over the little ones
before they fuse into a big one. When
dead, grab the Heart and the Nurturing
Warmth.
