Ayla

      Ayla is primitive but strong coming from a time of dinosaurs in 65,000,000 B.C..  She can break huge stones with a punch or kick. With her strength she doesn't need to use magic. She was the chief of her tribe and was trying to save them from the reptites led by the intelligent Azala.
     Crono and his group met Ayla when they were looking for a Dreamstone in her time and was attacked by the reptites. They were saved by Ayla and afterwards helped them to acquire a Dreamstone.
     Eventually, the next day, Lucca's Gate Key was stolen by one of the tribes people (Kino) and then by the reptites. They haven't any choice but to fight them to get it back. Ayla helped Crono fight Azala and got the gate key back. Crono and his group went back to their own time only to return again after being sucked into a time portal created by Magus.
     When Ayla found Crono's group safe and sound, she was then alarmed by the tribes that one of the villages were being burned by the reptites. Ayla being warned by her elders before that fighting the reptites would do no good to them, blamed her for the destruction of the village. Ayla couldn't take anymore  the reptites oppression and decided to fight them herself. Crono followed Ayla and offered to help her.
     Ayla, with Crono's group, went to Azala's castle and faced him. Ayla then  defeated Azala for the second and the last time. Here, they found out that a red star was slowly falling from the sky directly hitting Azala's castle.  Azala knew about this and knew that it will bring the Ice Age to their world. Ayla took pity on Azala and wanted to save him. Azala knew that the reptites wouldn't last long anyway through the cold ice age and wanted to perish from the impact instead. 
     Flying away from the meteor's impact using pterodactyls, Ayla told Crono about Lavos, the red star. Crono's group now know where Lavos got his name and how he came to this world. 
     Knowing that her tribe is safe now from the reptites, Ayla decided to join Crono's group afterwards to save the future of her people.
