	Don't waste your time searching the castle. Go right up the middle from where you got Layla. The monsters are a bit strong for now. Ignore all of the treasures and talk to Gotus, the man on the throne. He is not too tough, as he only uses normal attacks. Though it might take a while to kill him. Heal when needed and just keep attacking him. After 2000 HP, Gotus will fall.
Victory! Phin is back under control of the rebels. Talk to Gordon who will ask about Minh. He asks that they go to [Mysidia] and find out. Oh, another password. Give it back to Gordon to learn the word [Ultima]. Give the password [Mysidia] to Hilda and she will give the word,[Mask]. Say that back to here to learn the word [Ekume]. Give that word to Gordon and he will say to ask Paul for the entrance to the basement.
	Now that all the monsters are gone, this is a good chance to get the treasures here. On the 2nd floor (in the pic) there is a false wall that will lead to Giant Gauntlet. Give that to Maria. There is also a hidden path to a Were Staff in the area below the Aura Spell on the left. The Book is guarded by monsters, but the spell is pretty useless. Just sell that and the Were Staff. There is also a total of 4000 G on the first floor.
Head to Phin town and to the house on he left. Give Paul the [Ekume] password and he will say to check the upper right corner of the throne room to enter the basement. Now that the shops are open, buy a Giant Helmet for Guy and Layla, and a Quartz Armor for Maria and Layla. Sell anything else and rest up, then head to the upper right corner of the throne room.
	Give the password [Ekume] here and you will reveal a secret passage. Go down and when you come to the first floor, find the hidden path to the right and go around to the room with a Gold Armor, Gold Shield, and Quartz Armor. Give the Quartz Armor to Guy and the Gold Shield to Layla. Now enter the basement.
The monsters here are pretty easy. Since the treasures on the first floor are useless, just go from the entrance, left, up and right and take the stairs there. Monsters get harder on the 2nd floor. Go left from the stairs and at the crossing, go up and right to the stairs.
	Grab the Flame shield in the southwest corner of the 3rd floor. Give it to Frioniel and take the stairs at the northwest part of the floor. Follow up and at the path going up/down, go up to get the Blood Sword, which is guarded by monsters. Though the Blood Sword is the weakest sword in the game, you had BETTER hold onto it. If you sell/drop it, you will regret it. At the northeast corner is a Flame Armor. Give it to Guy.
Take the stairs at the southeast corner to continue. In the middle of this floor is an Orhacon Knife, guarded by GChimera. They shouldn't be too hard, unless they use Breath on you. Give the Orhacon to Layla (unless you got the Ripper Knife from Gotus, like I did). Head to the door in the picture. Grab the White Mask and take the warp behind it to exit. Rest up at Phin.
	Your next step is to go to Mysidia. Before you do that, take some more time to buff up some more. Get your HP to about 1000, MP 100, and the Cure spell at Level 6. Shouldn't be too hard to do. The pathway to Mysidia has very tough monsters, and you will need all that you can get.
