	When you begin Final Fantasy 2, you will have the task of naming 4 Characters. In order, Frioniel, Lionheart, Maria, and Guy. Once you name them, you will start off in a fight with 4 Dark Knights. Don't even bother doing much, as they will pummel your part to the ground anyways.
When Frioniel comes to, he awakens in a strange room. 2 people, Hilda and Minh will be there to help in out. They will leave. Follow them out and meet up with Maria and Guy. However, Lionheart is nowhere to be found. The 3 go into the throneroom of the Rebel Base and talk to Hilda. Frioniel will offer his services to Hilda. Talk to Hilda again and lear the password, [Wild Rose].
	Search around the base a bit. Find the Potion. You first must go to Phin, just a bit north. Though I recommend that you buy Guy a Buckler and Maria the Cure Spell. Head outside and fight around. Get Frioniel's and Guy's HP to around 100 (see the Secrets section), everyone's weapon ability up to Level 2, and the Cure Spell up to Level 2. When you have enough money, buy Ice for Maria and Frioniel. Level that up to Level 2.
Once you have that done, or close to it, head north past the bridge to Gatea. In here (you can do it in Altea also), buy everybody the Leather equipment (armor, gauntlet, helmet). Frioniel and Guy already have the Leather Armor, so no worries there. Rest up and head to Phin, which is just north of Gatea. Go around the lake to get there.
	Once in Phin, do not talk to anybody unless you have a deathwish. Go to the north part of the town and make your way around to the pub just outside of town. Go behind the bar stand and talk to the bartender. Use the [Wild Rose] password and he will tell you of a secret passage to the right of where he is. Take it.
Follow the path. Grab the treasures and talk to the man in the bed. Use the [Wild Rose] password and he will tell you who he is. He is Scott, brother of Gordon. He explains of a Duke Borgan betraying Phin. He then gives you the Ring and dies. Head back to Altea.
	Show the Ring to Hilda at the Rebel Base. Frioniel offers Hilda the Ring as a keepsake, but Hilda says that she needs more soldiers to help the rebelion and to get the legendary [Mithril] (another password). Say the password to her and she will say to go to Salamando and find Josef. She also says the Minh will go with them if you talk to him. Talk to him and he will join and give the Canoe.
