Boss: Ferham

Mechaniloids to get: Deactivated Wolfloid

Secret Area: Basement 1 East Door - Deactivated Meltdown, three Figure Tokens, Absolute Zero Ultimate Armor

Even though the Hunters have gotten some Supra-Force Metal, the way they got it reeks of a trap, but they have no choice. They need to see what's up at the Melda Ore Mine

Note: Before you head into this place (after telaporting there), make sure to have some Warm-Ups and Cure Ones. You'll likely find some frozen Degravers around here. If you use an item on them rather than attack them and then let them escape, you'll get 100 Tank Energy and Beam Wonder S. Consider this a useful enemy if you're running low on tank energy.

Before heading into this area, make sure you have Water protection and Thunder offense. You'll need 'em. In addition, get a Beast Killer for Axl, since you'll be seeing a few of those types around here. Once you're set, it's time to start the mission.

You'll land outside the Melda Ore Mine, so let's get the stuff out here first. Don't forget the note about the Degravers if you're needing some Tank Energy. Outside, you'll find a Heavy Motor and two Figure Tokens. Next, head inside to find an Ultra Thunder, and check the door below where you came in. Make sure to make a note, since later on when you have the Melda Key, you can come back here to get an awesome ultimate armor Hyper Mode for Zero as well as some other goodies, but that'll be explained in the optional areas section. Take the elevator down.

In this next area, look through the slit to send a picture to Guadile. He'll tell you that he needs more shots, so make sure to look in every slit you see. Next, go south to get a Build LE from the room ahead. Go to the next room and get the Figure Token as well as spy in another slit. Go back to the first slit and head north to get a Build LE. Check the slit to complete the first part of the picture (it's pretty big, I'll say that). Now, take the elevator down to the next level.

Look in the slit here and then go north to get a Mini Battery (needed for that Blowfish or Mega Tortoise depending on which one you used the last Mini Battery for). There's another slit here, so check it, as Guadile's getting closer to discovering what they've got here. Go to the room to the left to grab a Build Shield. After that, go in the other room to the south (once you get back to the elevator room) to get 800 FME and another slit. Things aren't looking too good, are they now? When you're done here, head back to the elevator and go down to the next area.

Again, check the slit first here and go to the center room first to get 50 Tank Energy. There's a slit here, so check it as well. You just need one more shot from the right, so head that way.

When you get here, you'll find a Deactivated Wolfloid for you. Get it and then head into the next room and check the slit. After you do, Guadile tells you what it is: a Supra-Force Missile that'll create millions (and millions) of Mavericks! You've gotta stop that from launching! You've gotta find two keys that you need to unlock the warhead, and as you're about to find out, the Cadres have 'em with them. After you get control back, take the Figure Token and use the control panel to unlock the door to the east. Time to head down to the next area.

There's a save point here, so use it, because you're about to meet an old friend from the desert...

*WARNING!* Botos

How to beat him: Just hit him once. He'll go down and run away, but you've gotta deal with the two Q-Bits that he leaves behind to give chase. Do so.

After you get done with this laughable battle, grab the Build Hyper, 1000 FME, Figure Token, and 3000z. Now, it's time to chase down Botos!

Note: You may run into a foe called a Bladey around here. One thing to know is that they are VERY annoying and VERY hard to hit without a Hawkeye sub-weapon, so make sure at least someone has this on 'em if you find them. Also, Combat (Melee) attacks will hardly hit 'em, so go after 'em with either X or Axl.

Head west to get a Build Speed and take the elevator up. Save at the Save Point. When you get to Botos this time, he'll make a decoy and then go into a room. Choose one of the two rooms. Here's what you get depending on the room you pick:
Direction Boss LE Notes
North Botos (Fake) 12000 Can only summon a BigBit for support. Drops a Bait Subweapon
South Botos (Real) Unknown Runs away. Leaves a pair of Q-Bits.

After you defeat your Botos of choice, search the floor to get the other items from the other rooms. The north fork will net you a Figure Token in the final room, while the southern fork gets you a 50 Tank Energy and a Build Power. Take the elevator to the next room above.

Once again, Botos pulls the decoy trick. Here's where they are this time around:
Direction Boss LE Notes
West Botos (Fake) 12000 Can only summon a BigBit for support. Drops a Bait Subweapon
North Botos (Real) Unknown Runs away. Leaves a pair of Q-Bits.

After you defeat your Botos of choice, go to the other path to claim the other items. The path to the west has a Build Armor while the northern path has a Cryogenic and 2000z. You can also save before heading to the next floor up. Do so.

You'll see Botos runs behind a door. Get the Gain Hyper and 100 Tank Energy before entering the next door. If you have any Hawkeyes, put them on your melee characters, or else, they'll just be healing during the next fight. When you're set, take the door to the east.

*WARNING!* Ferham

Ferham's back from the desert, and she's not too happy that you survived... well, maybe she is, since she can now defeat you for Epsilon and Scarface (I think she might have a crush on Scarface). She's also an aerial target like Gentler and Mad Nautilus, so it'll be hard for your melee fighters to hit her. She also has a Heat Haze like move to make her more agile as well, and she loves to use Blizzards but can't stand thunders (hint hint).

How to beat her: Well, as I said before, she's a flyer, so you'll need Hawkeyes if you want your melee fighters to be able to hit her. Also, make sure to have a LOT of water protection and thunder weapons. When you hit Ferham with a thunder weapon while she's in her Crimson Shade, she'll scream and lose it, and her next turn she'll be forced to bring it up again wasting her turn, so use this to your advantage. If Marino's in your party, use her "I'll Take That!" to get the Build Hyper and Force Missiles she's carrying. After that, keep pounding her with thunder attacks until she goes down, and you'll be up one Ice Stella and Heat Haze.

When Ferham falls to the bottom of the silo, the Hunters realize she's got the key to get into the warhead, so go down there to where she's at. If you've got an Exodus Force Metal, it'll make the journey a bit quicker, but you'll be too late for the key, as Ferham will tell you. She'll explain that Botos took the key from her (so much for depending on your team mates to help you escape, Ferham...). Time go go back to the second basement to catch up with the floating clown. Go to the room to the south to get a Figure Token. After that, you'll get a cutscene with a very familiar face (hint: It's not who you think either) who dispatches Botos and takes the warhead. Afterwards, X and the others will find Botos no longer functioning and no Supra-Force Metal warhead, so they'll head back to base.

After you complete this mission, come back here to get a Gattling Buster II for X and a very useful Generator sub-weapon!
